Our Love Story

God’s Revelation
Two hearts, two cultures, one divine plan. Tino, a Shona rugby player, and Yolanda, a Tswana woman and loyal Sharks fan, had each been praying for the person God had prepared for them—long before their paths crossed. Little did they know, God was already weaving a story only He could write.
Tino:
I had recently come through a challenging season, a time of growth and reflection. I was praying earnestly for my future wife, keeping myself for her, and trusting God’s timing.
Yolanda:
I had been praying for a husband and felt God’s quiet but certain revelation that Tino was meant to be my future spouse. When I posted a biblical message on Instagram, and he responded, I had no idea that small exchange would mark the beginning of something extraordinary.
Tino:
I commented—three short texts—and didn’t think much of it at the time. Soon after, I learned that Yolanda had begun having prophetic dreams of me as her husband, dreams I knew nothing about.
Yolanda:
Every night, I saw him in my prophetic dreams. I prayed, waited, and trusted God’s timing completely.
Tino:
On New Year’s Eve, the Sharks played the Blue Bulls. Yolanda and her friend drove to Durban for the game. After the match, they sought me out, and I recognised them instantly as “the girls from Instagram.” Talking to them felt so natural—especially as fellow believers. That night, I shared my life story with Yolanda and her friend, talking until morning.
Yolanda:
Meeting Tino felt like meeting someone I had known my whole life. I shared a prophetic dream about him injuring his ankle—and amazingly, four years later, it came true exactly as I had dreamed.
Tino:
Our connection deepened through church visits, game nights, and midnight prayer sessions. God even confirmed Yolanda to me through Proverbs 31:30:
“Charm is deceptive, and beauty is fleeting; but a woman who fears the Lord is to be praised.”
Yolanda:
Each prayer, every Scripture, and our late-night talks knit our hearts closer. Month by month, God removed fear and doubt, and our trust in Him grew.
Tino:
One night, I dreamed of Yolanda handing me four plants. I asked her what it meant, and she explained that they reminded her of her grandmother and symbolised accountability, responsibility, and giving one’s heart fully. That dream was confirmation I had been seeking.
Yolanda:
When Tino surprised me with a visit, it was as if God’s timing had aligned every detail. I even dreamt he was in town that same week, unaware the surprise was already planned. From that moment, our daily conversations became essential, each one strengthening the bond God had started.
Looking back, we can truly say: God wrote this love story Himself. Every Scripture, every prayer, every prophetic dream was a thread He used to weave our journey together. Our story is proof that when two hearts are guided by Him, love unfolds in the most extraordinary and supernatural ways. Faithful, intentional, and full of hope, our journey shows that God’s timing is perfect—and His plans for love are divine.
